J.H. Fraser & Associates Ltd.

Our story begins well before Albions Financial. J.H. Fraser & Associates was founded in 1979 by John Fraser and has been serving clients in Pictou County and beyond for over four decades. Built on integrity and trusted relationships, the firm laid the foundation for our family’s deep involvement in financial services. John’s son, Erik Fraser, carried on that legacy, and today, Albions Financial represents the next chapter — combining tradition with a fresh perspective for the next generation of clients.

John H. Fraser

John H. Fraser began his distinguished career in the life insurance industry in 1970 with London Life in Halifax, Nova Scotia. After spending several years gaining experience, he returned to his hometown of New Glasgow in 1976. Following a brief tenure with another company, John founded J.H. Fraser & Associates Ltd. in 1979, marking the beginning of his entrepreneurial journey.

Throughout his career, John has specialized in the employee benefit industry, developing a strong reputation for his expertise and dedication to his clients. While his primary focus has been on employee benefits, he has also maintained several individual clients over the years, offering personalized services and solutions.

Outside of his professional life, John is an avid sailor, enjoying the peaceful summers on the water. During the winter months, he travels to California annually to spend quality time with his daughter and her family, further enriching his personal life with cherished family moments.

John’s enduring passion for his work, combined with his love for adventure and family, reflects his balanced approach to both his career and personal life.

Erik H. Fraser

Erik H. Fraser graduated from Mount Allison University in 1996 with a Bachelor of Commerce degree, majoring in accounting. After a year of traveling, he joined J.H. Fraser & Associates Ltd. in 1998, where he began building a career in the financial services industry.

Erik is a certified financial planner, specializing in group benefits, individual insurance, and investment products. With over 25 years of experience, Erik has established himself as a trusted advisor, helping clients navigate their financial needs.

In 2024, Erik took the next step in his career by incorporating Albions Financial Inc., continuing to offer the same expert services he has provided for years. His dedication to clients remains steadfast, and he continues to help individuals and organizations secure their financial futures.

Outside of his professional life, Erik has been married to Jennifer since 2000, and together they have three children. He is passionate about coaching sports and enjoys supporting his kids in their many extracurricular activities, balancing his personal and professional commitments with a strong sense of family and community involvement.

Lucas Fraser

Lucas joined Albions Financial Inc. in January 2025 after graduating from St. Francis Xavier University in May 2024 with a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA), majoring in finance.

As the third generation in his family’s financial services legacy, he continues the tradition started by his grandfather, John Fraser, who founded J.H. Fraser & Associates in 1979, and his father, Erik Fraser, who later established Albions Financial Inc. Lucas specializes in life insurance, employee benefits, and investment solutions, helping individuals and businesses build secure financial futures.

Outside of work, Lucas is passionate about sports—particularly hockey, baseball, and football—and is also a competitive powerlifter.

Jennifer Fraser

Jennifer Fraser graduated from Holland College in 1998, and after spending several years managing her family’s household, she began her professional career by taking on the role of Office Administrator at J.H. Fraser & Associates Ltd. in 2009.

With her exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail, Jennifer has become an integral part of the business and now helps manage Albions Financial Inc. alongside her other responsibilities.

Married to Erik Fraser since 2000, Jennifer is a dedicated wife and mother to their three children. She enjoys traveling with her family as often as possible, cherishing the time spent creating lasting memories together. Jennifer’s strong family values and her commitment to both her professional and personal life have made her a key figure in the success of the businesses she supports.
